Utah Jazz Co-Owner Greg Miller Speaks In Idaho

For several years now, Utah Jazz co-owner Greg Miller has been one of the most prominent figures in the state of Utah. He was the driving force behind the Jazz, the CEO of the Larry H Miller Group of Companies and remains on the Family Board of Trustees.

This past Thursday, the Jazz owner spoke in Preston, Idaho in conjunction with the Greater Preston Business Association–

In the talk, Miller spoke about a career in business that began with sweeping the floor at his father’s dealership, his time with the Jazz, being a part of the Miller Family and much more. He also offered an interesting anecdote about meeting his future wife while cruising State Street in downtown Salt Lake City.

Hearing his recounting of what Larry H. Miller had to do in order to purchase the Jazz in 1985 is enough to make one wonder how the late Jazz owner was ever able to pull it off. Salt Lake City would undoubtedly be a very different place today if not for the unlikely acquisition.

Miller also spoke on everything that went into the building of the Delta Center (now EnergySolutions Arena) and how it allowed the team to keep ticket prices affordable for Jazz fans.

The talk provides some interesting insight on the man, his career and the Jazz organization and is a worthwhile view for fans.
