Utah Jazz Throw Baby Shower For Favors, Hayward’s Significant Others

The Utah Jazz value community and family above all else, showing and knowing the true value of each, respectively — which isn’t to say they don’t value chasing down a championship. Rather, Utah brass understand the significance and expense of being a part of such monumental moments in life, those things that transcend basketball. Those commitments that are for a lifetime.

In 2005, the Utah Jazz went out and got Linda Luchetti, now the Vice President of Communications for the Miller Group, the parent company of the Jazz.

One day — about ten of them ago, specifically — Linda Luchetti did what she does: She threw a baby shower for the expecting significant others of Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward. Most of us saw the comical baby races during a timeout of the Memphis Grizzlies at Utah Jazz game on April 10, 2015 that featured Trey Burke‘s son TJ.

What most of us didn’t see was what went on behind the scenes, that close family part of the Jazz franchise.

I’m told, “Linda Luchetti, who runs the ‘family room,’ always does a shower for babies and weddings. All the players and coaches’ wives/girlfriends try and do things together.”

This particular occasion was to welcome the coming three new members of the Jazz and extended Miller family; Favors fiance, Shivolli Da Silva is expecting twins in late September, and the wife of Gordon Hayward, Robyn, is expecting her arrival in June.

Naturally, Trey Burke’s mom, Ronda, was also in attendance.

Robyn Hayward was asked on her Instagram where her baby bump was, to which she replied, “Hahah…it stays hidden”

It’s the little things that make a difference. The Millers have formed of a culture that has a solid foundation that says “Some things are bigger than basketball.”

Lookin’ sharp, ladies! Congrats to you and those Utah Jazz dads. You’re gonna love being mothers and fathers.
