Tonight at EnergySolutions Arena, the Utah Jazz will be attempting to capture their fifth win in six games when the team goes head-to-head with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers, who were already without the services of Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash and Julius Randle, added two more to the list of their walking wounded today.

Guards Ronnie Price and Nick Young have both been ruled out for tonight’s game, making coach Byron Scott‘s bid to procure a victory against the streaking Jazz even more arduous.

Young’s knee was bothering him following the Lakers’ overtime victory against the Boston Celtics. He hasn’t been active for practice this week and did not participate in the team’s shootaround this morning. Price, meanwhile, had surgery today to remove bone chips from his elbow.

All of us at Purple & Blues wish the former Jazzman and Utah Valley star a speedy recovery.
