The 2014 Las Vegas Summer League kicks off for the Utah Jazz on Saturday night, when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers at 7:30 p.m. from the Thomas & Mack Center. For a couple weeks now, we have known most of the players that will be on the camp roster, but not until Monday night, did we find out the full list.
The Jazz will send seven players from the current roster to Las Vegas. Those seven players include Trey Burke, who was the third place finisher in last season’s Rookie of the Year voting, Ian Clark, who was the Most Valuable Player in the 2013 Las Vegas Summer League championship game with the Golden State Warriors, Dante Exum and Rodney Hood, who are looking to show off what they can do to Jazz fans who are itching to see them play against NBA level competition, Rudy Gobert, who may not play due to having an emergency surgery earlier this off season, and Malcolm Thomas and Erik Murphy, who are looking to have their contracts guaranteed for next season.
The rest of the roster looks like this:
Mardy Collins, G/F, Olympiacos (Greece)
Nick Covington, G, Eerie Bayhawks (NBADL)
Jerry Evans, G, Nevada
Niels Giffey, G/F, Conneticut
