The 2014 NBA Draft seen the Utah Jazz land two quality rookies to add to their 2014-15 roster in Dante Exum and Rodney Hood. If you ask Jazz fans their feelings on the two young players, they seem to be legitimately excited to see them play.

For those excited fans, you don’t have to wait much longer to catch a glimpse of these two playing against some NBA level competition. The 2014 Las Vegas Summer League will take place starting this weekend, with the Jazz facing the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.

From Salt Lake City to Las Vegas is a 421 mile, five hour drive. That is much better for Jazz fans, considering in the past they’ve played in the Orlando Summer League where fans are not permitted to attend. If you can’t make the drive to Las Vegas, you can still catch the summer league squad in action live before they head off.

On Thursday July 10th, the summer league squad will be at Energy Solutions Arena holding an open practice that is free to the general public. The practice will begin at 7:00 p.m. and the doors will open at 6:00 p.m. The action will kick off with insights from new head coach, Quin Snyder, and also from Utah Jazz TV commentator, Craig Bolerjack.

As mentioned, admission is free to the general public. Also, a collectible t-shirt featuring the two newest Jazz rookies, Hood and Exum, will be handed out at the doors.

If you are in Salt Lake City, and don’t already have plans for Thursday night, this is a great way to spend your evening. Not only that, it will get you excited for the 2014-15 NBA season to get underway.
