The Utah Jazz are going to be participating in the Las Vegas Summer League beginning next weekend. The summer league will give fans a chance to see how our two newest rookies will handle NBA competition, at least a small piece of NBA competition.
In the meantime, Dante Exum and Rodney Hood have been getting accustomed to the Salt Lake City community. One day after being drafted, the two rookies hosted a basketball camp for the Special Olympics in Utah. The camp gave the Jazz rookies a chance to help do what the Utah Jazz organization does extremely well, give back to the community.
On Saturday night, Exum and Hood got another opportunity to be put in front of the community when they got a chance to each throw out a first pitch at the Salt Lake Bees baseball game.
As you will see in the videos below, Hood actually threw a pretty decent pitch, while Exum made fans hope that he is a better basketball player than he is a pitcher.
Those fans that are excited to see Hood and Exum play basketball, the Jazz’s first summer league contest will happen on Saturday, when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers at 7:30 p.m. at the Thomas & Mack Center.
