When the free agency season begins, fans are looking to hear that big name that their team is interested in. For Utah Jazz fans, the first name to come up was Trevor Booker.

Booker isn’t really a house hold name that fans are going to go crazy about, but he is a solid power forward in a back up role. Booker is coming off a season with the Washington Wizards, where he averaged 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in only 21.6 minutes of play.
The Jazz have been rumored to be wanting a “stretch four” type player, so they can open things up on the inside for guys like Derrick Favors. However, if that is all they are looking for, then Booker won’t be their guy. Booker has made one three pointer in his entire career.
The “stretch four” mold isn’t all the Jazz are looking for this off season. They need big men that can be productive on both ends of the floor. Booker can give you a scoring option off the bench, if needed, and is a good rebounder. He hustles, and you can’t teach hustle.
As I said before, Booker isn’t a house hold name that you will be excited about. However, he is the type of player though that the Jazz could possibly sign in a bench role, and then once he plays a few games in a Jazz uniform, fans fall in love with.
