The Cavaliers may keep this pick, but there are rumors that they are wanting to get rid of this pick and trade back in the draft. The reason for them wanting to trade back in the draft is because they don’t want to draft Wiggins or Parker, because they have hopes in LeBron James wanting to come back to Cleveland in free agency. Parker and Wiggins play the same position as James, and they want to leave that position open for James.

Cleveland has reportedly gotten many offers for the top pick, including an offer from the Jazz. The Cavaliers could consider the Jazz’s offer of Derrick Favors, the fifth pick, and Alec Burks or a future unprotected first round pick. However, the Magic have two picks in the lottery this year, and Arron Afflalo, if James comes back to Cleveland, could compliment James extremely well.

For the Magic, they need someone that they can put on the court with Victor Oladipo. At four, the ideal situation is to draft a guy like Marcus Smart or Dante Exum to pair in the back court. However, if the Magic end up getting the Cavaliers to take their trade offer and select first overall, there is no way that they can pass on Wiggins, or Parker for that matter, and take Smart or Exum ahead of them.
