On Monday afternoon, some big news broke about the possibility of the Utah Jazz trading up to the number one overall pick. As most of you probably know by now, the first trade that the Jazz were rumored to be in with the Cleveland Cavaliers seemed to not be quite enough. The Jazz tried to sweeten the pot a little bit on Monday.
The new rumored trade would send Derrick Favors, the number five pick, and either Alec Burks or a future unprotected first round pick to the Cavaliers, while Cleveland would send the number one pick and Jarrett Jack to the Jazz.
As expected, after the rumor broke, Twitter went crazy expressing their thoughts on the potential trade in the making. Some was positive, some was negative, and some seemed unsure. Here are some of the tweets we received after we asked how Jazz fans were feeling about the rumor.
@PurpleandBlues1 Makes it sound like a deal!

@PurpleandBlues1 This is what a bidding war looks like. Good position to be in for CLE.

@PurpleandBlues1 boo! I don’t like it. I think it’s way too much for an unknown player. Favors and Burks were key pieces last year.

@PurpleandBlues1 honestly we need a star. I’m down with it, even though I love Favors and Burks.
As you can see, most the response we got was mixed. However, after the rumor broke, media close to the Cavaliers was reporting that Cleveland was not close to a deal and supposedly didn’t like the offer that the Jazz was sending.
A lot can still happen before Thursday’s NBA Draft, but with all the speculation that the Jazz have been involved in this past week, there could be a good chance that the Jazz make some kind of a move.
