Short List For Utah Jazz Coaching Search

More than a month ago the Utah Jazz let Tyrone Corbin walk and Lindsay stated the Jazz would be interviewing 20+ potential coaches.  Flash forward to today and the media has only got the wind of two interviews: Alvin Gentry and Adrian Griffin.  The Jazz have also been rumored to be interested in Quin Snyder, Lionel Hollins, Jim Boylen and Ettore Messina.  Also out of respect for John Stockton, they have inquired if he was interested.

Are these all the guys the Utah Jazz have contacted then?  Absolutely not, as David Locke knows they had interviewed at least 6 guys by the time the first rumored interview with Adrian Griffin was.  Yesterday Jody Genessy of the Deseret News had a source that told him Quin Snyder was on top of that short list (the article can be found here).

The Utah Jazz as always have been a tight lipped organization and this is no different. To say we know who is on this so called short list is like guessing who will win the championship in 2020.  We can have an idea but really we are just guessing.  All of Jim Boylen, Ettore Messina and Quin Snyder all have connection to Dennis Lindsey which is why they are rumored.  I wouldn’t be surprised if none of these guys were given the job when the Jazz finally make that decision.
