NBA Draft: Joel Embiid Will Go Before Jabari Parker

I know the media tells us that this is a 4 man race for the first pick and that the Cavs could go with any of them.  They also tell us, teams are worried about Embiid’s back and that Jabari’s defense is keeping him back.  The truth is GM’s love these rumors. LOVE them.  To put any seed of doubt into the teams drafting before you is gold.  If you can get a team to really question if Embiid is the next Greg Oden instead of the next Hakeem Olajawon, then the seed is planted and it’s hard to draft a guy with that in your mind.

What I’m getting at is don’t believe for a second that this is a 4 man race, but instead a 2 man race followed by the next group.  The race is between Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid.  Nobody else.  I know as Jazz fans the idea of Jabari Parker would be awesome, however don’t confuse that by putting him on the same level as the two I mentioned earlier.  I would put Jabari closer to Vonleh, Gordon and Smart than to Wiggins and Embiid.

I know many will disagree with me, but come draft night I will be shocked if Jabari goes before Embiid or Wiggins.  It won’t happen.
