NBA Scores, Schedules, & More 04-09-14

Then there were four. Four games left in the season that is. We got to this point after last night the Jazz let the Dallas Mavericks shoot lights out in the first half, and ended up losing to the Mavs by 12. The Jazz tried to fight back in the second half, but could never really get close. The Jazz are now 24-54 and are a half a game behind the Boston Celtics for the fourth worst record in the NBA.

There were five other games in the NBA last night. You can check out the scores and recaps for all the games below. Recap links courtesy of Sports Illustrated.

Detroit Pistons 102 – Atlanta Hawks 95 (Hawks lead over Knicks for 8th playoff spot only a half game after loss to Pistons)

Brooklyn Nets 88 – Miami Heat 87 (Nets sweep season series from Heat thanks to huge block from Plumlee on LeBron)

Minnesota Timberwolves 110 – San Antonio Spurs 91 (Parker sits out; Wolves cruise to easy win over Spurs)

Dallas Mavericks 95 – Utah Jazz 83 (Mavs early hot shooting too much for Jazz)

Oklahoma City Thunder 107 – Sacramento Kings 92 (Durant’s streak ends, but Thunder get win over Kings)

Houston Rockets 145 – Los Angeles Lakers 130 (Harden, Jones score 33 apiece; beat Lakers)

As far as the Jazz fans are concerned tonight, they will be most likely keeping an eye on a few games. The Celtics, Magic, Bucks, Sixers, and Kings are all taking the court. The Jazz, as stated at the start of the article, are only a half game back of the Celtics for the fourth worst record in the NBA. The Celtics are taking on a Hawks team that just got beat up by the Pistons last night. There is a chance the Celtics could get a win, and a win would have the Celtics and Jazz tied in the standings.
