NBA trade rumors are in the air as we approach the trade deadline. What is the latest? So far, nothing has been said concerning the Utah Jazz, but there have been plenty of things to talk about. Here is what we are hearing so far.
Doc Rivers looking to add big man
Sources told Yahoo! Sports, Adrian Wojnarowski, that the Los Angeles Clippers are looking to bolster their bench at the big man position.
Pelicans shopping Austin Rivers?
Sources told Yahoo! Sports, Marc Spears, that the New Orleans Pelicans could be trading second year guard Austin Rivers, and the rights to the hot shooting D-League assignee, Pierre Jackson.
Milwaukee trading Butler/Neal?
The Charlotte Bobcats had traction on a deal that would send Caron Butler as well as Gary Neal from Milwaukee to Charlotte. However, in the last couple days, talks have fell apart.
Andre Miller to Minnesota?
Andre Miller has said that he has no interest in returning to the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets are looking to try and move him ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline. The Minnesota Timberwolves are high on the list of a possible destination for Miller.
Raptors/Kings interested in Rajon Rondo
According to Marc Spears, the Celtics and Kings discussed a trade that would send Isiah Thomas and Ben McLemore from Sacramento to Boston in exchange for Rajon Rondo. Rondo, however, wasn’t interested in re-signing with Sacramento, and the Kings value McLemore too much.
The Raptors have explored several different deals recently, but the Toronto front office has Rajon Rondo in it’s sights now according to multiple sources.
Anthony Morrow available
The New Orleans Pelicans have made Anthony Morrow available for a draft pick. As a side note, during Morrow’s free agency, he was rumored to be on the Jazz’s radar.
Jarrett Jack latest
Yesterday, the Brooklyn Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers were rumored to be in talks to send Jarrett Jack to Brooklyn in exchange for Jason Terry. Today, the Sacramento Kings have emerged as another possible destination for Jack according to Marc Stein of ESPN.
As I said at the first of the article, we haven’t heard any rumblings so far regarding the Jazz. However, with the financial flexibility, expiring contracts, and draft picks the Jazz currently have, they are sure to be involved in rumors soon.
