Exum’s decision to enter the draft is something that was expected. Exum had been interviewing with as many as 8 different agents during the last month. After the interviews, Exum decided to hire agent Rob Pelinka.
Pelinka, if you have not heard of him, represents some big names in the NBA, such as Kobe Bryant, James Harden, Andre Iguodala, and Andre Drummond. Exum deciding to hire Pelinka could help him with getting more attention with teams in the lottery.
Exum is already considered by most NBA GM’s as a top 5 pick in the draft. However, GM’s also have said that if Exum were playing in the U.S. already, he would be strongly considered as a contender for the number one pick in the draft.
