Who Will the Utah Jazz Keep Moving Forward?

The Utah Jazz are in one of the greatest places to be in franchise history with a team full of young guys that have huge potential and also a handful of picks.  That being said we all know that the Jazz will unlikely keep these guys all together so who is gone and who stays?

The guys who aren’t go anywhere no matter what:

Derrick Favors:  Just signed an extension and will be here 4 more years and in no scenario do I see a trade involving him.

Trey Burke:  He’s going no where for the next 7 years as the Jazz have him as a restricted free agent after his rookie deal.

The guys who should be here after this year and for 3-4 more to come:

Gordon Hayward: Even if a team offered Hayward a max I think the Jazz would match solely cause of what they have invested in him.  Also it won’t hurt the Jazz financially until 2018 so they have years to play with.

Marvin Williams:  Marvin has stated he wants to continue in this youth movement and he is only 27 so he will be a great guy off the bench or starting for the next 3 years.  Dennis Lindsey has said Marvin is a key piece to the Jazz.

Jeremy Evans:  What a great guy to have on your team as the 8th or ninth guy that can bring production in limited minutes every night.

Rudy Gobert:  He’s a project but could be a huge pick up for the Jazz in the coming years as the Jazz love him.

Ty Corbin:  As many of you that wish otherwise I think Corbin gets a 2-3 year deal to stay with the Jazz as I have seen a lot of progress this year now that he can play the guys he wants.

Trade Bait:

Alec Burks/Enes Kanter:   One of these guys if Hayward gets signed will be out of here in a possible trade or just let go after next season.  If the Jazz draft Wiggins or Jabari I expect Burks will get a deal the following year that will be too big for the Jazz to match.  If the Jazz draft Randle or Embiid I could see Kanter out as early as this years draft.  If the Jazz have a 4th to 7th pick pick I could see the Jazz offering one of these two guys along with their pick to move up a spot or two.

On their way out very soon:

Richard Jefferson: He has shown he can still play and wants to be on a contender.  The Jazz also want to be getting more time for Alec and the young guys plus losing might come into play near the end of the season.  I expect 100% for RJ to be shipped the week of the trade deadline.

Brandon Rush:  Along with RJ, Brandon has been improving and his legs are coming back.  Every time I see him though I just feel he hates being in Utah.  Expect him to be traded at the deadline for cash or a second round pick.

Who knows but who cares:

Andris Biedrins, Ian Clark, Diante Garrett, John Lucas.  Some of these guys might be back with the Jazz as the 11th and 12th guy on a team.  I like Garrett as the third point guard going forward.
