Number 1

Joel Embiid – Freshman

Embiid started the season off as a question mark to most GM’s in the league.  He seemed to be a raw talent that needed time to develop his game and because of those things seemed to be a risk to draft in the top 5 picks of the draft.  Embiid has already put those thoughts to rest after just half a season in a Kansas uniform.  Embiid offensive game is ahead of schedule and even showed a little dream shake in his game against New Mexico.  His upside is being compared to Hakeem Olajuwon which is saying a lot considering Olajuwon is considered one of if not the greatest center of all time.  Andrew Wiggins has been said to have the biggest ceiling of any player entering the draft but that has seemed to have been overtaken by Embiid.  On draft night don’t be surprised at all if Embiid is the consensus number 1 pick.
