Derrick Favors: Man of the Hour

Yes!!!  Screamed every Jazz fan out there that heard the news:

The Jazz couldn’t have agreed to a better situation then having Derrick Favors sign an extension.  Favors is the anchor on defense and is well worth every penny.  The deal does have incentives for Favors that could make it close to a max deal if he reaches all of them.  The Jazz now will focus on signing Gordon Hayward before October 30th.

If Hayward signs, then this year will be a sigh of relief for Jazz fans. Knowing that at least these two guys are part of their future along with Trey Burke is great news.  The Jazz will need Kanter to play like he has in the preseason to warrant him a similar extension next off-season.  Alec on the other hand is a wildcard as teams I’m sure will be willing to pry him away from the Jazz for more than they are willing to pay.  This season will mean everything for Alec and his future with the Jazz.

For right now though the Jazz have Favors for the next 5 years!  And that my friends is a beautiful thing.

    This year I see him 12-13-2 (pts-rbds-blks)
He just has to be more confident with his shoot & offensive skills to look like an All Star to me.
    Great thing to resign him.

Hope to see pick and rolls with him and Burke soon :)

I agree, and those are great predictions and accurate I think. The pick and roll with Hayward and him are great to watch so the more the merrier
