What to Look for from Media Day Tomorrow

It’s finally here! ( No I’m not talking about the new Walking Dead season) The Utah Jazz season is finally here and all the players and coaches will be in one location for the media to interview.  Training camp starts Tuesday and the preseason starts October 8th here in Salt Lake at the Energy Solutions Arena.

I’m more excited this year than probably every year since the the 97′-98′ season.  Obviously these are two completely different teams with 100% completely different objectives but they should be equally fun to watch (if you can handle losing games while they build chemistry).

I want to see a few things tomorrow from media day:

First I want to see if anyone looks in a lot better shape which we already have to assume Derrick Favors and Enes Kanter should be.  Along with those two though Jeremy Evans and Rudy Gobert could actually be bigger as well working with Malone.

Secondly, I want to see if Derrick Favors is more vocal in his interviews and shows he has confidence when he speaks.  Rumor has it that Karl had him yelling everything while they trained.

Next I want to see the new guys and see if they understand their roles by what they answer with.  I’ve been told by a few people that Richard Jefferson looks like he’s in the best shape of his life (as we hear a lot pre-camp but never really know).  If he really is then maybe the bench really will surprise people which would be huge for the Jazz this year.

Also I want to see how Hayward carries himself as the leader of the team and see if he points out some stuff during interviews that provides he has been a leader during the off-season as well.

Lastly I want to see what Corbin says on what they are trying to accomplish in training camp along with defense.

Tomorrow is an exciting day for Jazz fans as it implies the start of a new era.
