Can Jeremy Evans Contribute?

Jeremy Evans is a very polarizing player.  Best known for his high flying dunks in garbage time and his Slam Dunk championship, he is not known for helping his team win.  To be fair the best friend on the team of our own Gordon Hayward has not had meaningful minutes to even show if he can.  What Jeremy does well is obviously dunk, he blocks shots and can rebound due to his hops.  The problem with Jeremy is can his slender frame sustain the pounding that big men take down low?  And if it can’t can he develop a consistent shot and become a stretch four?  Can he be fast enough to Guard Stretch fours?

We all talk about how fun it will be to watch the “Core 4″ grow and play this year, but it will also be fun to see if Jeremy Evans can Develop into a solid role player for this team.  The Jazz are going to need his energy off the bench and are going to need him to do it in meaningful time this year.  Jeremy has been working hard on his shot since he’s been in the NBA, staying late after practice and shooting with Gordon Hayward.  If Summer League was any indication he is going to let it fly this year and seems to have the confidence to do it.

It’s a make or break year for Jeremy. What do you guys think? Can he develop into a role player or is he bound for garbage time?
