Utah Jazz: Nicknames

Almost every player during the course of their career gets a nickname and some players even take it so far as to go by that name.  Obviously the main ones are the Mailman (Karl Malone), Horny (Hornacek), Big Dog (Antoine Carr) and Pistol Pete (Pete Maravic).  The good things about nicknames are they have to be earned (whether good or bad) and they have to be given to that player.

As far as Jazz guys go right now here are the nicknames that I’ve heard over the past year:

Gordon Hayward: White Mamba, G Spot, G Hay, G Time, The Baby Faced Assassin, Kris Kringle

Enes Kanter: The Big Turkey, The Big Enes, Turkish Delight, UnderKanter, Enes the Menace

Marvin Williams: Marvelous Marvin

Jeremy Evans: The Human Pogo Stick

Here are a few of the other guys and the nicknames that could stick:

Rudy Gobert: The Stifle Tower, The Gobert Report

Trey Burke: TB3 or just T-3 ( as in T minus 3 seconds)

Derrick Favors: Jazzual Favors, Fort Favors, D Fav

Alec Burks: Abs, The Circus, Chill B

Andris Biedrins:  Latvian Leader

What are some other nicknames you’ve heard or would give to the players?  Leave your comments below.
