Dennis Lindsey made his presence known last night as the Jazz traded three times to get Trey Burke at 9 from Minnesota for 14 and 21, Rudy Gobert at 27 for 46 and cash, and 47 Raul Neto from Atlanta for a 2015 second rounder via the Nets. Considering the Jazz didnn’t have to give up one player for any of those picks the Jazz came out like bandits. Every draft grade on the internet from every analyst I could think of gave the Jazz a B+ or better.
According to David Locke Rudy Gobert and Trey Burke were in the Jazz’s top 6 players that they wanted. If that’s the case the Jazz brass have to be smiling from ear to ear. Just in case you don’t know who Gobert is, all you need to know is he has a standing reach of 9’7″ and a wingspan of 7’9″ and he is going to block a lot of shots.
Raul Neto is a wildcard but a solid pick for a second rounder. The Jazz can keep him in Spain for a year or two if they want, but Lindsey says they have the option and will decide soon.
Either way here is some highlights from all 3 of the players:
