The Jazz Could Help Clippers/Celtics Trade

Ever heard of a team trading for a coach?  I haven’t until just recently when the Clippers have been trying to get Doc Rivers from the Celtics.  In the trade they are also trying to get Kevin Garnett and would have to take on Courtney Lee or Jason Terry as well.  The Clippers in turn would send Deandre Jordan, the expiring contract of Caron Butler and a future first round pick.  The Celtics have also been adamant about receiving Bledsoe also but the Clippers have said trade talks are dead with Bledsoe involved.

The Celtics have also made it known recently that they are interested in both Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap who will become free agents in July.  If the Celtics and Clippers could wait for 3 weeks it would be beneficial for both teams and the Jazz as well.  The trade scenario that would be intriguing to all 3 teams is as follows:

Celtics Receive:

Paul Millsap Sign and Trade for roughly $8-10 million a year for 4 years

Al Jefferson Sign and Trade for ~%10-12 Million a year for 4 years

Eric Bledsoe $2.6 in 2013, $3.726 in 2014

Clippers Receive:

Kevin Garnett $11.5 in 2013, $12 in 2014

*Doc Rivers $7 Million with 3 years left

Alec Burks $2.3 in 2013, $3.2 in 2014

*Jason Terry$5.25 in 2013, $5.5 in 2014

Jazz 21st Pick

Jazz Receive:

DeAndre Jordan $10.986 in 2013 and $11.440 in 2014

Rajon Rondo $12 in 2013, $13 in 2014

This is very out there but I do believe all three teams would do this trade.  The Jazz would have to give up a pick and Burks and the Celtics would have to give up Terry to make the money work all three ways.  The Jazz do this because it will be hard for them to hit the minimum salary this next season without a big contract like Jordan’s or Rondo’s and they can always trade Jordan at the end of the year if needed.

*Honestly I’m not sure how the coach plays in this as this is a very weird circumstance, but if the coaches work with the money then Jason Terry would not be included in the trade.

Let me know if you would do this trade in the comments below or if I’m a complete idiot.
