George Karl Fired, Hire Him!

George Karl and the Nuggets are reportedly going their separate ways.  Karl, who won coach of the year this past year was fired after asking for an extension on his contract.  His contract is due up at the end of next year and apparently management doesn’t have him in their future plans.

That being said the Jazz need to go after him. ASAP!!!  After a game this past year when the Nuggets blew out the Jazz on their home floor he stated that the bench should be the starters and the starters come off the bench for the Jazz.  Players like Favors, Hayward, Carroll and Kanter needed more minutes cause they brought more energy and kept the Jazz in games.  The Jazz need someone that knows the team and which players are best to put on the court to give you a chance to win. (something Ty just can’t seem to grasp)

The Jazz hiring Karl and firing Corbin is a long shot but if he was interested the Jazz should offer him whatever they can to get him.  Teams like the Clippers and Nets I’m sure are lobbying for him right now but that doesn’t mean a team that already has a coach can’t go out and bring him in.

Karl could change everything for an organization like the Jazz in a good way.  He knows what he’s doing and I wish him the best wherever he ends up.

I agree!!! Coaches like Karl, Sloan, Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, etc… do NOT come along that often. They are as rareas the Lebron’s or Jordans and if you can hire them-DO IT!!! He’s got a proven ability to turn teams into winners and will maximize a players potential. Look at the improvements in Carmelo Anthony’s game after Karl came to the Nuggets. Conversely, look at how that game slipped after he left Karl. He made Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton into all stars.

George Karl is one of the best coaches in the league. Utah would be crazy not to grab him.
