Redraft: NBA Draft 2010

Seeing how good Paul George has been in these playoffs,  makes me certain he should’ve been drafted higher.  Much higher.  After thinking this for some time I came across a tweet from Chad Ford that said this “Re-draft top five in 2010: 1. Paul George 2. John Wall 3. Greg Monroe 4. Derrick Favors 5. Gordon Hayward.”

Although the Jazz picked Hayward over George, they still have two of the top 5 picks from that draft and they haven’t even had a chance to have it be their team like George is getting right now.  This next year depending on how it goes might have Favors and Hayward even higher.  Even if they don’t move up, having two of the top five says something about the state the Jazz are in.  They have a bright future and fans that don’t think so should really step back and look at the talent the Jazz have for the future.

It’s too early to look at 2011 but from that draft Kyrie, Klay, Kawhi, Kenneth, Knight and Kanter (all 6 start with K?) are the 6 best in the draft with Alec Burks in the top 10 if he plays like he did at the end of last season.  In fact, maybe only Parsons and Vucevic would I put ahead of Burks after those six players.

This means that the Jazz if they can keep these four together and add a top 5 or 10 guy in this draft at the point position will be looking good for the next long while if Corbin decides to finally play them.  All I know is keep your heads up Jazz fans cause the future is bright.
