2013 NBA Draft: Jazz should go with Dennis Schroeder

So it is no secret that the Utah Jazz need a PG. And it’s probably no secret that they are looking very closely at all the PG’s in a PG deep draft.  Now even though the draft is deep at PG there still are no sure things or “must have” prospects at the position.  Even Trey Burke the top rated PG on most experts boards don’t have him as that must have or can’t pass prospect.

This is why i want the Jazz to take a chance on Dennis Schroeder.  Schroeder is a 6’2 PG from Germany.  He has been relatively unknown to the public until he tore it up at the Nike Hoops Summit. check the game out here

Schroeder is fast and from what iv’e seen he can transfer that speed into pretty good defense which is something the Jazz desperately need.  He has been compared to Rondo, which definitely is not a bad thing, but Schroeder can shoot and shoot the 3, unlike Rondo.  He can also pass and seems to look to pass which is something the jazz need.  They need a PG that can put the Jazz players in their spots and set up the young Bigs; Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors, he will be able to help their development by setting them up and getting them easy shots.  Plus Schroeder said he wants to play here and thinks he will get picked at 14 by the Jazz or 15 by the Bucks.

There are also reports that Schroeder has a promise from a team in the first round.  Could that be Jazz?…It seems likely that it could be them because usually only teams with multiple picks make promises.
