Two games, four teams fighting on ESPN for seeding and even two teams lobbying for a playoff spot
. What more can you ask for on the last night of the season!
At 8 pm eastern the Jazz will travel to Memphis and will be fighting for their playoff lives. The Jazz will need a win and a Lakers loss to grab the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Memphis on the other hand with a win and a Clippers loss can regain home court advantage in the first round. Memphis rested their starters against Dallas last night with not one starter playing over 24 minutes in the game. Lionel Hollins stated he isn’t sure what he will do on Wednesday yet. The Jazz will be praying that he rests the starters.
In the late game the Lakers will play host to the Houston Rockets at 10:30 eastern. The Lakers can finish anywhere from 7-9th in the West depending on what happens. If the Lakers win they will finish 7th and play the Spurs in the first round. If the Lakers lose and the Jazz lose then the Lakers will play OKC as the 8th seed. And finally as stated before if the Jazz win and the Lakers lose then the Lakers will be watching the playoffs from home. The Rockets with a loss will play OKC and with a win will most likely play the Spurs. If Golden State loses and the Rockets win then the Rockets will play Denver or a very small chance they play the Clippers.
No matter what happens the last five hours of the regular season will be must watch basketball on ESPN.
