NBA Gets Karma, Kobe Bryant Goes Down With Potential Achilles Tear

The Jazz and Lakers both won tonight and in pretty intense games.  The theme that was similar in both is the same it has been for the past few weeks; the NBA has turned itself into a WWE feel where they aren’t even trying to hide that they want the Lakers in the playoffs over the Jazz.  The Lakers shot 50 free throw attempts… Wait what? Yes 50!?! Okay so how many did Golden State shoot? 16! 50 to 16??

Every time Kobe touched the ball it was a foul.  Late in the game Steph Curry runs into Dwight Howard on a screen and they call a foul on Curry which was very questionable and then guess who shot the free throws?  Steve Blake!  How?  I have no idea cause he wasn’t even touched on the play.  Those two free throws gave the Lakers a 1 point lead with under a minute to play.  The same has been the theme in every game for the past few weeks and I ‘m not sure I can watch any more.  Don’t get me wrong Kobe has been playing Jordan-like and by himself has been willing his team to victory.  Without the shots going down the refs can only do so much to control a game.

Since April the Lakers have shot 203 free throws to 110 in 7 games.  Not one game has been within 10 free throws except the Portland game where the Lakers shot 4 more.  As a Jazz fan I try not to be biased but watching the games make it even worse.  Phantom calls where no one touches anybody happen every game and always down the stretch when the game is close.  It’s unbelievable how not-even-close the calls are.  Not all refs are in on it, but their are certain ones that I would put money on that they are getting paid by the NBA extra or they just feel it’s their obligation to keep the teams that bring in more money to make the playoffs.

Anyways enough of my conspiracy theories that many believe to be true.  The NBA got Karma tonight when Kobe is said to have torn his Achilles.  In no way does Kobe deserve this or the Lakers, however the NBA I believe does.  All I want is the better team in the playoffs and I want it to be a fair fight.  I’m sick and tired of sitting through game after game and knowing how certain refs are that certain teams will fare better.  I’m sick of seeing these big market teams get anything and everything they want while the fans of all these small market teams get screwed year in and year out.

Again I wish Kobe didn’t go down with the injury, I wanted to see this play out but the NBA is getting what they deserve.  Kobe is NOT getting what he deserves.  One of the greatest might be done with his career and that is a very disheartening way to go.  The Lakers still might make the playoffs but without Kobe the NBA won’t bring in as much money as they could have.  Money controls businesses and the NBA is flirting with becoming Enron.  Corruption all the way down the line starting at the top.  Well for one season finally the NBA gets a little bit of Karma.
