Don't Give Up On The Jazz! Not Even Close To Over

Let’s face it Jazz played bad last night against Denver in a game that the Jazz really would have liked to have.  However, it didn’t pan out and the Nuggets got the win and the Lakers moved ahead of the Jazz… for one night.  Memphis is playing for home court right now and is the better team so expect the Lakers to lose tonight unless the refs give the Lakers another game.  The NBA is about money and the Lakers bring in a huge portion of revenue for the NBA so I wouldn’t doubt that some refs are actually in on the Lakers making the playoffs from a business stand point.  However those that believe that every ref would buy into scamming millions of fans are out of your mind.

If the Lakers lose tonight and/or vs the Clippers and the Jazz win the next 2 games, the Nuggets game will be forgotten and the Jazz again will be in the driver’s seat with 4 games left.  I will say it again the Lakers will NOT win against Memphis tonight and probably not against the Clippers either.  The negative Jazz nation needs to stop saying the season  is over and that we have no chance cause that is very far from the truth.  Yes the Jazz really wanted the Nuggets game just like they will against the Thunder on Tuesday, but it does not put the Jazz out of the playoffs.

Before the Nuggets game statistics said that if the Jazz went 5-2 the rest of the way they would get in 99% of the time, and 4-3 they would get in 83% of the time.  Now they just need to go 5-1 or 4-2 to have a really great (yes great) chance of getting in.  Hollinger still gives the Jazz a 38.1% chance to make the playoffs and if the Lakers lose tonight that number will move up closer to 50% again.  The Lakers will lose 2-3 times before the season is over so the Jazz just need to bring it every game and hope to end up on top.  I think one reason the fans felt cheated last night was the effort wasn’t there.  That was true on the defensive end for sure but Denver is good, I mean really good, like has a really good chance to take the West this year good.  In fact I would rather have the Jazz play the Spurs or Thunder before they play the Nuggets.

No matter what happens in the next 2 weeks just remember that the Jazz are not out of it and they still have a really good chance of getting the 8th and final playoff spot in the West.  Don’t give up.
