A Look Ahead at this Week

Coming off a huge win against Memphis the schedule doesn’t get any easier.  The Jazz will host the New York Knicks tonight at 8:30 MTN on ESPN followed by a 3 game Texas road trip at Houston, at San Antonio and at Dallas.  If the Jazz want any chance of making the playoffs a 2-2 week is a must at a minimum.

Luckily for the Jazz Carmelo, Amare and Chandler are all out tonight and the Jazz will definitely want revenge after the pathetic display in New York just 9 days ago.  Following the Knicks the Jazz will play in what will most likely have huge playoff implications in Houston on Wednesday.  The Rockets lost by 30 last night at home to the Warriors, so if the Jazz can pull off wins tonight and on Wednesday then they will be tied with the Rockets and own the tie breaker.

Following the Rockets the Jazz will travel to San Antonio on Friday to play a Parker-less Spurs team.  Even without Parker the Spurs are still Top 5 in the NBA and have shown so after beating Oklahoma City just a week ago.  Finishing off the week on Sunday in Dallas against a team that still has an outside shot of making the playoffs will also be a very difficult game especially for the Jazz who have struggled on the road for as long as I remember.

Prediction 2-2
