Home Court Utah Jazz could mean 2nd Round

With a solid win Saturday night versus the Cleveland Cavaliers the Utah Jazz again prove that the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City is one of the most opposing places in the league for opposing teams to play at. Just last Monday the Jazz were able to pull off a brilliant win against the incumbent champions the Miami Heat.

On the current way the Jazz have been playing at home (13-4), they will be able to easily make it into the playoffs. However there is a slight possibility Utah can slid into fourth place. If the Jazz can make the playoffs and hold onto the fourth seat then there is a real possibility they can win a first round series. Given the state of things in the NBA, the Jazz could be facing any number of teams.

If the Jazz can somehow pull together a trade to get one of the few veteran point guards in the league then the Jazz have a chance of winning a second round. Right now the Jazz away record is sitting at 9-15, not quite championship caliber. With a veteran point guard I think they could turn the away record around.
