Terrific trade for Marvin Williams; Jazz stacking up

The Jazz have almost finalized a deal that would bring Marvin Williams in for Devin Harris. Now, though I am sad to see Devin Harris go, this is a terrific move for the Jazz. Marvin Williams is a 6’9 small forward, is an excellent defender, and is very explosive towards the basket. Just type in Marvin Williams highlights on youtube and you will see what I mean.  His length also adds more height which is something we have always lacked as a team. Trading Devin Harris has also opened up the spot for Mo Williams to be our front point guard and leader which will be tremendous come the end of the season and Playoff time. His experience will be welcomed to a team full of very young players, and will give them all someone to look to in the final minutes of games. Harris although was very explosive and energetic, didn’t quite fit the Jazz’s system that well. Williams will fit in much better and will run the offense easier and smoother than Harris. The more and more I think about the trade, the more excited I get for next season.

The Jazz seem to be really aggressive this off season by going out and trying to build and stack their team. Now, Kirtilenko is supposedly coming back to the NBA and will probably meet with the Jazz. I was one of the fans that said “Get rid of him now!” but with Marvin Williams coming in, I really think the Jazz should pursue him for a small contract. Imagine your front line being: Mo Williams, Gordon Hayward, Paul Millsap, Derrick Favors, and Al Jefferson, then our bench would consist of , Jamaal Tinsley, Alec Burks, Marvin Williams, Andrei Kirilenko, Enes Kanter, DeMarre Carroll, Josh Howard, Jeremy Evans, and Earl Watson. That’s a dynamite team right there. Not to mention the Jazz are pursuing Danny Green from San Antonio, who has shown a lot of interest in the Jazz. Me and my bro had the conversation, that we truly believe that if the Jazz obtained Kirilenko with the rest of this team, that we are title contenders. No joke. This is shaping up to be an incredible year for the Jazz and I am excited to see what moves they continue to make in the next couple of months. This is a Jazz team that seems excited and hungry for the future. This is a Jazz team I can see making a terrific run in the next few years.
