Warriors Attempting a Pre-Draft Lottery Trade with Jazz?

Now that OKC lost and ruined my day, I can turn to some inspirational Utah Jazz news: ESPN is reporting that Golden State may be looking to firmly secure their pick in the upcoming draft by setting up a trade with the Utah Jazz. Get all of that? Here’s the jist, according to Marc Stein: Utah obtained the Warriors’ pick during the whole D-Will trade-thingy last season. But Utah lost the pick thanks to some crafty play down the stretch this season that saw them enter the Playoffs where they lost in four to San Antonio. BUT! The Warriors can still lose the pick should they fall out of the top seven positions in the upcoming draft lottery, although the likelihood of that happening is something like 27%. In other words, the Warriors carry a 72% chance of obtaining a top seven draft pick, but don’t want to take chances and are willing to make a trade with the Jazz to ensure the pick doesn’t fall out of their hands.

What this trade entails is beyond me (and apparently everyone else on the internet), though fans are praying for some sort of Stephen Curry-ish deal … Yeah, that’d be nice.

More details will follow as the gripping story unfolds!
