Derrick Rose Done For Season with Torn ACL

What a terrible way to start the playoffs for the league, the Bulls, and more importantly for Derrick Rose. Late in the 4th quarter of the Bulls 103-91 Game 1 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, Rose landed awkwardly after jumping into the post to make a pass. The news came for the worst as it has now been confirmed that he has a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. There isn’t a much worse way to start the playoffs then to lose the reigning league MVP, possibly derailing the title hopes of Chi-Town. As a Jazz fan, I ferevently root against the Bulls but you never want to see this.

The second game of the day didn’t feature any injuries but it was an embarrassment as the Heat blew out the Knicks by 33 points, winning Game One of their series 100-67.

Here’s hoping the rest of the playoffs are better than this.

Tough year for D-Rose, hopefully he can comeback fully from this.
