While Memo spends time with his baby, the Jazz will try to get a win in Oakland.
Earlier this morning, Mehmet Okur’s wife, Yeliz, gave birth to her first son, Yigit. Yigit Mehmet Okur was born at a size of 21 inches and eight pounds, two ounces.
The baby is Okur’s second child, as he already has a daughter by the name of Melisa.
Because of the wonderful occasion, Okur had to fly back to Utah, and he will not be with the team tonight when they take on the Golden State Warriors in Oakland.
With Okur’s absence, and the recent departure of Ronnie Brewer, the Jazz will be forced to start 2 new starters tonight. Those players will be Paul Millsap and Wesley Matthews. Even though both of them are talented players, the shift in the starting lineup should be a difficult adjustment to get used to, especially since this is Utah’s 3rd straight road game. If they are able to overcome these obstacles, I would be very surprised. But if any team is capable of such things right now, it would be the streaking Utah Jazz.
